EvalPCA,an affiliate of the Global Evaluation Initiative hosted at CERP, will be conducting exclusive Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Boot Camp, as part of its recent MoU agreement with the Ministry Planning Development & Special Initiatives from 20-22 September 2022. The Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) Training is a customised training for practitioners geared towards early to mid-career M&E officials at the Planning Commission. The objective of this training is to equip participants with critical tools, frameworks, and skills required to design data-driven M&E systems, using robust data collection and analysis methodologies that are applicable globally as the gold standard methods for impact evaluation of programmes and policies in the development sector. Each module of the training will focus on components of the M&E requirements used for PC-1 such as Project Objectives, the Results Based Monitoring tool, etc. The training will employ an interactive teaching methodology using localised case studies to enable participants to tackle and address pertinent policy issues which the Planning Commission team typically encounters when designing development projects/programmes. The instructors will use group activities and case study-led discussions to create simulations to make this an immersive learning experience for all participants. The training will aim to blend learnings from policy challenges in provincial and federal Planning and Development departments to create dynamic synergies to help improve the M & E capacity at both levels (provincial and state).
