Dynamic Cities: Lessons from Asia and Africa

The Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP) is hosting its upcoming CERP Talk with Dr. Ammar A. Malik, Director of Research at Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD). The talk on ‘Dynamic Cities: Lessons from Asia and Africa’ on the role of urban local governments in improving urban service delivery, will take place on February 20, 2020 from 4:00 – 5:00 pm at CERP’s Head Office in Lahore. Dr Ammar A. Malik’s research focuses on spatial urban forms and their economic implications, the political economy of public service delivery, and the distributional effects of urban public transport. This talk is based on his recent research with the Urban Institute that looks at the importance of reforming intergovernmental institutional structures in order to realize cities’ full economic potential as spaces for social transformation and political inclusion.
