CERP partners with UCA to enhance evidence-based policymaking in Central Asia

December 09, 2021: As part of CERP’s efforts to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation system in the region, CERP has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Central Asia to advance evidence-based policymaking in Central Asia, particularly in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. The aim of this collaboration is to help build capacity of policymakers to use research evidence and rigorous data to inform their decision making and consists of training and policy-relevant analytical work for knowledge generation. The MoU was signed by CERP President and CEO, Maroof Ali Syed and rector of the University of Central Asia Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi. The event was also joined by Prof. Salim Sumar, Director of Academic Development and International Office and Sharmeen Rupani PM Associate from University of Central Asia, and Amna Aaqil, Director Executive Education at CERP.
