Vidya Kumari

Research Associate, National Science Bowl Project
Vidya Kumari is a development researcher specialising in computational social policy, and data-driven program evaluation. She currently works as a Research Associate at the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP), where she supports the design and implementation of a randomised controlled trial for the National Science Bowl Pakistan, evaluating the impact of STEM interventions on student learning and aspirations.

Vidya has worked across research, government, and international development organisations including IRD Global, UNICEF Pakistan, and academia, contributing to large-scale administrative data systems, impact evaluations, and policy analysis. Her research has been presented at international conferences and includes work on immunisation systems, climate vulnerability, and gender-related social outcomes.

She holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from IBA Karachi and brings strong expertise in statistical analysis, survey design, and research implementation. Her research interests lie at the intersection of social development economics with data science.
